And here are a few (short) life lessons I took away from the year:

  • Always put your phone in another room before reading or working.

  • Try to spend as much time in nature as possible (walking, hiking, swimming, etc–watch this podcast to learn why).

  • Go for a walk every morning, it will fix your seasonal depression.

  • Short-form video content is destroying your attention span (proof). Read books to rehab your attention span.

  • The fastest way to earn a seat at the table is to host the meal. –Jon Goodman

  • Every opportunity you want comes through a person. To get the opportunity you want, find the person who can give it to you.

  • Do your hardest task first thing in the morning and before you have breakfast.

  • Successful people are ridiculously busy, I’ve had to email authors 7+ times before they said yes to a meeting.

  • If you want someone to help you with something, don’t rely on goodwill, instead think of an incentive for them.

  • You’ll be more productive if you focus on eliminating things from your routine instead of adding things (my routine: wake up, walk, work).

💎 Weekly Gem:

My friend and bestselling author, Mike Michalowicz, is releasing his new book, “The Money Habit” this month.

To celebrate the launch, he’s putting together something huge: a live virtual summit on January 27, 2026 called Money, Mindset & Mastery.

It’s completely free to join and will feature 50+ authors, thought leaders, and experts who will share practical strategies and actionable tools to take control of your money, mindset, and life so 2026 can truly be your year.

You’ll learn from Michael Bungay Stanier, Todd Herman, Tiffany Aliche, Tiago Forte, and many more incredible people (I’ll also be speaking at the event).

Your opinion matters!
