A&B: A Better Reading Challenge for 2021

A&B: A Better Reading Challenge for 2021

Hey everyone,

(This is a special edition of the newsletter so I'll keep it short & sweet)

2021 starts tomorrow and I'm sure a lot of people have made "read more books" as one of their New Year's resolution.BUT...please don't do the 52 book challenge. 🛑I completed the 52 book challenge this year and discovered it's filled with a ton of bad incentives. Such as:

  • Punishing people for reading long books

  • Encouraging quantity reading over quality reading

  • Forcing people to finish books they don't enjoy so that they can count it as read

  • Not rewarding people for reflecting on what they've read or taking action on the lessons they've learned

(more about why you

SHOULDN'T

do the 52 book challenge

)

INSTEAD, try the 25 x 250 reading challenge. ✅

Simply put: Spend 25 minutes a day reading, learning, or growing, for 250 days out of the year.

  • Reading: Reading, listening to an audiobook, rereading a book, etc.

  • Learning: Taking notes, writing summaries of a book, etc.

  • Growing: Applying the advice from the lessons you’ve learned, completing exercises from books, etc.

(more about why you SHOULD do the 25 x 250 challenge here)BONUS: I created a FREE worksheet that you can use digitally or physically for the25 x 250 reading challenge.

    450+ People have already downloaded the 25 x 250 reading challenge:
