This is the best writing course I've ever taken (and I've taken a few of them). It will teach you how to start writing online, create better content, and build an audience all in one course.

πŸ‘‹ Hey everyone,

PS: If you haven't read "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant" I highly recommend it. You can download the ebook for free here (just scroll down a bit).

πŸ“š Book Summary:

This week's book is Excellent Advice For Living by Kevin Kelly.

This book is filled with 400+ timeless tips for a better life. Kelly shares his wisdom on careers, relationships, parenting, finances, and more. It's a short read (221 pages) and is similar to Austin Kleon's books

I recommend reading this book, especially if you're a young adult.

Here are a few lessons from the book (I put my favorite ones in bold):

πŸ“–

"Being enthusiastic is worth 25 IQ points."

"Don't measure your life with someone else's ruler."

"You don't have to attend every argument you are invited to."

"When you forgive others, they may not notice, but you will heal. Forgiveness is not something we do for others; it is a gift to ourselves."

"Whenever you can't decide which path to take, pick the one that produces change."

πŸ“–

"You should demand extraordinary evidence in order to believe extraordinary claims."

"Don't be the best. Be the only."

"Tend to the small things. More people are defeated by blisters than by mountains."

"Expand your mind by thinking with your feet on a walk or with your hand in a notebook. Think outside your brain."

"Don't take it personally when someone turns you down. Assume they are like you: busy, occupied, distracted. Try again later. It's amazing how often a second try works."

πŸ“–

"No" is an acceptable answer even without a reason."

"Keep showing up. 99% of success is just showing up. In fact, most success is just persistence."

"Forgiveness is accepting the apology you will never get."

"Be more generous than necessary. No one on their deathbed has ever regretted giving too much away. There is no point to being the richest person in the cemetery."

"The thing that made you weird as a kid could make you great as an adult–if you don't lose it."

πŸ“–

"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing."

"If you are not embarrassed by your past self, you have probably not grown up yet."

"Train employees well enough that they could get another job, but treat them well enough that they never want to."

"When you are young, have friends who are older; when you are old, have friends who are younger."

"Writing down one thing you are grateful for each day is the cheapest possible therapy ever."
