πŸ“š Book Summary:

Instead of covering just one book this week, I wanted to share a few of the best SHORT but IMPACTFUL books I've read. Why?

  • A short book is less intimidating to start than a 400+ page book

  • Short books get straight to the point since there's no room for fluff

  • They make you feel accomplished since you can finish them in a day

So here are a few of my favorite short books, enjoy!

1) "Man's Search For Meaning" by Viktor Frankl

If you only buy one book from this list, get this one.

In it, Frankl shares what it was like being a prisoner in Auschwitz, the horrors that took place, and how he was able to survive. He also covers how he found the will to live even though he was in one of the worst places imaginable, how to move forward after such a traumatic event, and how we can find meaning in our suffering.

Read this book to learn about the incredible power of the human spirit, how to overcome the dark parts of life, and better understand how to find meaning in your life.

2) "The Dip" by Seth Godin

This book will change the way you look at quitting and success.

The book argues that every new pursuit has a "dip," or a period of struggle and uncertainty, and that knowing when to persevere through the dip and when to quit is essential for success.

The book is especially valuable for entrepreneurs, creators, and anyone seeking to improve their skills or achieve mastery in a particular area. Overall, it's a must-read for anyone looking to navigate the ups and downs of pursuing their passions.

3) "Lying" by Sam Harris

This is an insightful book that explores the impact of lying on our lives.

Harris argues that lying is never justified, and that the practice of honesty is essential for personal integrity and healthy social connections.

It covers everything from why you shouldn't share small white lies, how to tell the truth without being a jerk, how to not lie to your kids, and more. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a thought-provoking book that will inspire you to tell the truth more.

4) "Anything You Want" by Derek Sivers

This is a refreshingly honest book about the challenges of starting a business and being an entrepreneur.

Sivers is a successful entrepreneur who sold his company for $22 million. In his book, he shares 40 short lessons that cover how to build a successful business, create a strong brand, cultivate a healthy work-life balance, and much more.

If you want to learn about starting a business and navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, read this book.

5) "The Strangest Secret" by Earl Nightingale

This is a classic self-help book that explores the power of positive thinking and the importance of setting clear goals.

Nightingale argues that the key to success is to have a clear and specific goal in mind, and to focus one's thoughts and actions towards achieving it. Although the book isn't super scientific, it makes up for it with engaging and motivational stories.

If you're looking for an inspiring read that will help you develop a more positive and proactive mindset, get this book.
